Not A Whole Lot To Say

Can you believe that??  Hahahaha.

Not much besides work is happening in my life at the moment.  Visits with Rosie and Bonnie have been reduced to watching for green snot, coughing, enlarged glands, abscesses.  So far Rosie had one day of green snot, with a 99.7 temp (normal for her).  She's showen no other symptoms of the Equine Influenza, or Strangles for that matter, that has been plaguing our barn.  Bonnie has been fine.  I'm pretty sure I dodged that bullet!

Been writing a business proposal, and putting together financial forecasts for a pipe dream... if it comes to reality then my families life will change drastically.  I hope for the better.  I don't want to jinx it and talking about it adds emotion to it.. we all know how that goes.

18 days until Eukanuba National Dog Show... Lorie and I are beyond excited and nervous.  Major expensive to get 4 people and a dog to California, then house them for four days.  Not to mention Lorie is going to show Hank at some local shows before the big day to settle him, and herself down.

Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner...  I have three more paydays until then and I haven't even STARTED shopping... typical me.

It's also been so temperate and dry here I keep putting off waterproofing the horses turnout blankets.

Procrastination is my middle name !

  3. Ack! I think I've been keeping my head in the sand about Christmas....and now you've pulled it out. I am Soooo not ready at all. Bah Humbug!

I'm glad your mares are healthy and dodged the sicky bullet. And now you have something positive to look forward to in your trip to CA.

And we won't mention the thing that shall not be discussed. hehe!

  5. Good to hear your mare's are doing well. I can't imagine the anticipation the trip to California brings. Hey we have another thing in common, our middle name! Altho it doesn't seem to fit you, from what I read you seem to be such a go-getter. Will look forward to hearing about the biz proposal (case in point). Exciting times, wishing you the best of luck!
