After about 2 weeks of me going nightly to feed and water my horses, magically it was already done (pellets, supplements, hay and buckets full of clean water). I continued to go every day for another 7 to 10 days... and it continued.
So what has changed.... When other boarders started asking same questions I was, and voicing some of same concerns some investigating was done.
Turns out my fears were not unfounded...
Long story ~ short: BM has decided to move on, BO has taken over BM duties.
I noticed James wasn't at the Clean Up on Saturday. Did he just up and leave or something?
ReplyDeleteGood deal - hope things continue to go OK.
ReplyDeleteHope things continue to go well, it would be a great worry to think that the horses weren't being cared for properly!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that my two are here on the farm and I am responsible for their care so I know what goes on.
Beth - I believe he was to finish out the month of May. But he's been in the hospital - I didn't ask why. His Arab was still in the Stallion barn.
ReplyDeleteEXCELLENT!!!!!!! I too had that prob with the BM. at a favorite facility..and I voiced to the BO. I ended up leaving..darn it..as she did not really believe me...but when you go every day or every other...YOU KNOW= exactly what is happening!
ReplyDeleteGreat NEWS!!!! You rock!
I was over at Equestrian V..and saw your "Big Girl panties" comment...had me hooting Jeni!
Maybe we may get those panties together...I would love to do a rides or rides like that someday...!

It's such a shame that the things you felt were true! I mean you just have to wonder why people do the things they do..Or lack there of in this case.
ReplyDeleteHope things just get better from here on out!
Glad the BO finally figured it out. My horses are at home, but I know it would be a pain to have to find another place and move them.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. As the previous posts pictures of Rosie show, she is back to her normal drafty bulk and her coat is looking much better. There is no more shadow of ribs on the barrel, her flanks are not sunk in, and I can not feel her spine.
ReplyDeleteAnd Bonnie I had to cut her feed intake as she is turning into the HorseCow I know so well.
Are you back from the dreamy Anniversary yet?
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment...and My usual saying is for days that just fall apart or head upsidedown- "Some days are more Monday".
It turned out that my weirdo day... WAS Monday!
A very good ride has redeemed it all! Yea!
Be well girlfriend!

Well maybe that's why that person was called a BM....he/she stinks! Good riddance.
ReplyDeleteHere's to happier, stress-free times ahead for you and your horses!
