"Toot - Toot" A Personal Victory

I'm  going "Toot My Own Horn" .. why??  Because well... I'm proud of myself!

I've Officially Lost... hmm.. let's see... 160 "ish" a little over a year ago... 135 today (with clothes on and feeling "marish")...

That makes it 25 lbs give or take...

WOOOO BABY!!!

I have 10 more pounds to go and I've reached my end goal!

Personal Victory....

In a department store dressing room yesterday with a size 10 and size 8 jeans because my 12's were WAY TOO BIG. (womens not juniors.. I don't have junior hips)  Decide to put on the size 8 first thinking.. no way in hell...

I had them up, done up.. could breath.. have ROOM to put hands in pockets, DID NOT EVEN DO THE "PAINT THEM JEANS ON" DANCE!!!  They are not even STRETCHY size 8..  I even checked the label... no spandex!

I let out a WHOOO HOOOOOOO loud in clear in that dressing room the other women all laughed..   I very proudly hung those size 10's back on the rack and bought TWO pairs of size 8's !

......A year ago I was wearing size 16 and growing out of those!

  1. WHOOOO! Congratz!!! I know exactly how you feel, it's awesome, isn't it? I put about 1/4 of the weight I lost back on, and need to get rid of it again. It's just such a nice feeling when that zipper goes up and you realize you can still move, lol!!

  2. Congratulations! That's a great feeling when you get to buy the small size you've been dreaming of. I'm still working on gettin down to my desired size. Can't wait because they don't make talls in the jeans I like except in those smaller sizes. That sure doesn't seem to make much sense but that's how it is.

  6. Awesome! I'm proud of you too. Don't get any skinnier, though. You might blow away with those size 8s.

  7. Congratulations! I was on high-dose steroids for a muscle disease for a year and I'm still trying to ditch the 20 pounds that came with it. I know that was a wonderful feeling, and had to laugh about the checking of the tags as I would have done the same thing :o)
