More Crafts - Blanket Bar's!

I have been looking all over locally 
Dover Saddlery $19.90 + 6.95 shipping
** Dover's product description: Solid wood blanket rack with four 24" dowels with chain for hanging. 36" long, with 10" between bars for compact hanging at shows or in barn.


Nothing local and everything I found on line was reasonably priced until you figured in shipping.


So I got to thinking - this thing can't be hard to make - and more sturdy.   So off to the hardware store we go.

I purchased four 1 1/4" x 48" wood dowels, 20 foot of chain that will support 70 pounds, eye loops, and two rings.

My husband cut each dowel into two 24" pieces for a total of 8 dowels.   He then marked and installed the eye loops.


The hardest part was separating the chain link to attach to the eye loops in the dowels...



All most finished...


Finished product - 2 cooler/pad hangers !!

The best part - we made two of these for $46 !!!

    Perfect! I love when stuff like this comes together. That's why my daughter made her own hay nets, she just liked her idea (and price) better. You guys did a great job.

    Great job!
    This would also look cute and be useful in a bathroom to hang towels, or in a closet to hang pants, baseball caps or scarves!
