Vacations - the no husband no kid kind

First - I'm sorry for the lack of posts.  Sometimes my life becomes stupid busy .. this is one of those times.

Second.  My best friend Inger works for Aflac at the state level.  I'm not sure whole hierarchy of it but someone above her who is almost at the top of the org chart hosted a all inclusive weekend in Traverse City MI.   Inger asked me to go with her -- I'm no fool I don't refuse free vacations!

So we had a blast - Thursday driving up then dinner at this incredible house that over looks the 7th hole on The Legend golf course.  Awesome view for even those of us who do not golf.  The green would be perfect for galloping!

Friday was girls day at the spa - guys golf outing.  The spa - I was a spa virgin.  I decided that 60 minute hot oil swedish massage AND hair and scalp treatment sounded nice.  Let me tell you - it ranks way high on the "Must do again list" .  My comment was "It's way up there on my "Must do again list" along with good sex and imported chocolates".

You think ok... a massage no big deal right?  Well here's me - I've been riding horses since I could sit.  Not occasional riding, but several hours a day at least 3 days a week riding.  When I don't get to ride regularly  my muscles ache.  I hurt badly.  The pre-vacation weather was not good riding so I hadn't been on a horse to even walk for at least a week, most likely 10 days.  That massage was absolute heaven!

Saturday was boating on Torch Lake.  This lake is absolutely gorgeous.  Cold but gorgeous.  Water temp was 61 F.   We had an absolute blast - and there are pics to prove it!

Inger had just come out of the water and decided I needed to be cooled off:

All us girls:

So as you can see we had a blast.  The whole weekend was awesome and I want to thank the Aflac folks for making me feel like I was one of them.
