Funk

I'm in this funk and just can't seem to shake it.  I know it will get better eventually but until then I don't have the ambition to do much of anything, and to do anything takes extreme effort.

I check on the mares at least every second day.  They are good - sound and happy.

I need to set some short term goals and get my moving again toward something positive and riding again.

  2. Taking a break is ok. Doesn't matter if it's to de-funk, or another reason. You'll get your mojo back, when your ready - and it will be great :)

  3. "I need to set some short term goals and get my moving again." Notice you missed a word in there?? Might that word be *ass*? I hear taking donkeys for a walk and watching a morbidly obese donkey sail over a six foot span of creekbed (as I got to witness this evening) is very funk reducing...

  4. You've been so busy with horses (you did amzingly well with healing their recent issues), dogs, etc. maybe a little down time is what you need. Allow yourself some relaxation and when you feel like going bakc at it you'll be better than ever. Just my two cents worth.
    Happy Easter!

  5. Hmmm... it sounds like the February blahs... a tad bit late! My solution is to get out in the sun. Soak in the rays. They bring energy and that builds enthusiasm.

    Good luck!

  7. What the heck! That doesn't sound like you. How about some sunshine, would that help? Hope things get back to normal soon.

  8. Sometimes a funk is our body's way of telling us to take a break and get some rest and have some down time.

    Please take care of yourself.

  9. Take a break, relax, read a book, whatever it takes to get you back to your old self. Sometimes we need a break to regroup.
